The method feeder is my favorite option, it is simple to use, effective in getting bait to your feeding spot, and can be cast with considerable accuracy. When fishing with live bait, the Maggot feeder is a fantastic option, just like the method Feeder it is simple to use, highly effective, and offers exceptional aerodynamic design and accuracy
Clean your feeders about once every two weeks, more often during times of heavy use or wet weather or if there have been reports of salmonella in your area or you have seen sick birds in your yard. To clean your feeder, take it apart and use a dishwasher on a hot setting or hand wash either with soap and boiling water or with a dilute bleach
A typical match winning catch from Mark using his winterised Method feeder tactics. Don't fish negatively on the bomb in winter. Take Mark Cree's advice and fish a proper Method feeder. Mark shows the best way of fishing the Method feeder in winter including what baits to put on the feeder and what to use on the hook as well as where and how
What you put in to start depends on the venue and situation. If you’re expecting big fish, feed particles such as pellets, casters and corn. If the fishing is going to be tricky, take things steady with groundbait containing a few dead maggots, then up the feed content once the fish arrive.
On small chucks like yours I use a 2oz tip in my feeder rod, you are using the method so bites are generally quite savage so less important using a sensitive quiver tip. A 28g feeder is plenty to tighten up against without moving it (I regularly use 18g with a 2oz tip and never have issues moving the feeder even when fishing on a slope).
You can feed this to bees in the spring or summer. Pour 1 pound (0.45 kilograms) sugar into 2 cups of water (0.47 liters), or 5 pounds (2.2 kilograms) of sugar with 2.5 US quarts (2,000 ml) (2.4 liters) of water. Bring the water to a boil, and turn off the heat source. Stir in the sugar until dissolved and let it cool.
For the best hook baits for method feeder fishing, luncheon meat comes high up on the list. As it sits in the water, it releases a steady trail of aromatic oils that lead carp right to your doorstep. But, it can be tricky to keep on the hook. Cubed luncheon meat can be a real nuisance to cast and keep on the hook.
Put the lid back on tightly and wait for approximately 2 minutes if you are using 2mm pellets or 4 minutes if you are using 4mm pellets. Now turn the bait box upside down and shake out all the excess water through the small holes on the lid. Keep shaking until no or very few drops come out, and place the bait box back down on the ground upside
